The Angle Range Compensation (ARC) feature computes your range based on the terrain, giving you an accurate reading even if you're shooting uphill or downhill. The Bushnell Scout 1000 ARC features the following targeting modes especially designed for your specific hunting requirements: Bow: Provides true horizontal distance from 5 to 99 yards based on angle. Rifle Mode: Select the ballistic group of your firearm from the guidelines that come with the Scout 1000. When you range your target, an inclinometer displays the angle and provides bullet-drop/holdover in inches (up to 199") from 100 to 800 yards. SCAN: Scan across the course while viewing a continuously updated LCD displayof the distance between you and your target. BullsEye™: Geared for close-range use, this mode acquires the distances of small targets and game without inadvertently measuring back ground target distances. When more than one object is acquired, the closer of the two objects is shown on the LCD display.
