Ballard Rifle & Cartridge is perhaps the most unique gun shop you'll ever encounter. We not only sell 1800's era rifles, we manufacture them. So, when you visit our showroom, you're going to find rifles and accessories that you simply won't see anywhere else.

We produce the finest reproductions of the Remington rolling block, the Winchester 1883 High-wall and, of course, the Marlin Ballard rifle. Plus, we carry the accessories for your era rifles, including top-quality bullet molds and inline seating dies that we make ourselves. We have a variety of vernier tang sites that are the best on the market. If you have an antique rolling block, High-wall or Ballard, you'll be pleased to know that we have parts that are completely interchangeable with the originals. We also have cartridges for these rifles, including obsolete and black powder cartridges. And the cases for these cartridges are made on a lathe, exactly as they were in the 1800's. For those who want to learn more about era rifles, we carry a variety of books on the subject, with a special emphasis on books by the renowned author John T. Dutcher.

We try to keep a great selection of our rifles in stock. But, with orders for our rifles having a six-month wait, they tend to fly off our shelves quickly. Because we do consignment sales for estate liquidations of era rifles, you'll often find some remarkable specimens of collectible rifles in our showroom.

At Ballard Rifle & Cartridge, we have the gunsmithing capabilities to create a one-of-a-kind, customized rifle for you, or do a complete restoration of your vintage single-shot rifles. But our people are more than gunsmiths: they're artisans. They do beautiful case coloring, stunning engraving, checkering, custom stocks, and more. If you want your High-wall rechambered for modern cartridges, they can handle that as well. For those who will only settle for the best when it comes to restorations or custom work, Ballard is clearly number one.
