We began our business training bodyguards, security guards, and other professionals. We continue our commitment to training today by offering an even wider selection of courses. If you're new to guns, you'll be pleased to know that we have many courses for obtaining your New York pistol permit that utilizes our video shooting simulator, an intensely realistic shooting experience. We teach NRA-certified hunter safety courses, basic handgun courses, and more. We have concealed weapons carry courses that meet the licensing requirements of every state, even Utah. We offer training in firearms, baton use, and more for security guards, armored car drivers, bodyguards and others who need to have that extra advantage should things get ugly. To keep your shooting skills finely honed, we offer a members-only shooting range. Anyone can become a member with a valid pistol permit. In March in 2009 we will be opening a state of the art shooting facility. Completely Redesigned and Rebuilt with all the the new state of the art features you will want in a shooting range. Designed to be a tactical range, it will be open to all most caliber handguns, as well as shotguns and rifles. New Lighting and ventilation and featuring 75-foot shooting bays, our range is one of just a very small few places left in the area. Locker service and an on-site lounge and mini-store will be available to all our members.
Our store is open from 10 am to 5 pm Monday & Friday, and from 10am to 6pm Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday - Saturday we are open from 11am to 3pm - Sundays Closed
To get to RT Smoke N Gun Shop if you're coming from northern New York state, take the Sprain Brook Parkway south to the Cross County Parkway East exit. From the Cross County Parkway, take the Broad Street exit (#7) and head down two stoplights to Gramatan Avenue. Go Approximately 1 mile and once you cross over the railroad bridge, follow Fourth Avenue to the second right turn. Turn right and go two blocks to Sixth Avenue, turn right, and you'll find us at the end of the block. Look for the blue awning on our building.
If you're coming from the south, take the Hutchinson Parkway north to Wolf's Lane (exit #9), At that exit, turn right and head to the first stoplight at Colonial and turn right. Colonial then becomes Sanford. Follow Sanford to 6th Avenue, and you'll find us 1 1/2 mile down on the right side of 6th Avenue at the intersection of First Street and Sixth Avenue.
