CIMARRON "NEW" SHERIFF REVOLVER
In 1991, Cimarron had an idea that would improve the original 3" Sheriff's or Storekeepers Model by adding an ejector. An old friend Bob Baer in Houston, had been chopping Ruger SA barrels to just under four inches for years. It was determined that the barrel length on the Cimarron SAA could be reduced to no less than 3.5" and have a functional ejector. A cut was made in the ejector head to allow the head to swing out and around the cylinder pin for full ejection and cylinder pin removal. Yes folks, this is another of many Cimarron innovations.
