COLT XSE 1911 GOVERNMENT SIZE PISTOL STAINLESS STEEL, MODEL 01070XSE
When Colt decided in the year 2000 to offer the XSE series of pistols, it was in response to the growing number of custom or semi-custom 1911 pistol makers. Colt needed a 1911 model with the features that competition shooters were demanding. The XSE met that demand with extras like front and rear angled slide serrations, ambidextrous safety levers, lightened triggers with extended adjustments, top-notch combat sights, and more. The response from the shooting community was overwhelmingly positive. The Colt Stainless Government XSE 1911 comes out of the box with all of these features, and more. It's an exceptionally good-looking pistol, with its brushed stainless finish and rosewood grips, and has all of the accuracy and dependability you'd expect from a pistol bearing the Colt name. Colt Stainless XSE Stainless Reviews:Overall Rating: Primary use: Target Shooting "I've owned Colts before. I've also had Kimbers, Springfields, Ed Brown's, and even Charles Daly 1911's. So I know 1911's. The XSE beats the Kimbers and the Springfields hands down for quality, and it's just about as good as custom pistols like Ed Brown. You couldn't pry this one from my cold dead hands. If I could improve the XSE, I'd put three dot tritium dots on it for night shooting. That's about it."
