The Crimson Trace LG-404P14 Chainmail finish laser grips fit officers size 1911 pistols. The chainmail pattern gives the grips a custom look, and really makes your 1911 stand out from the crowd.

The chainmail pattern is molded into the polymer grips, and will never wear off or become faded. The grips have a slight texture to them from the chainmail pattern.

The laser is activated by a conveniently place pressure switch located just below the trigger guard on the front of the grip frame. Just a slight amount of pressure from your middle finger turns the laser on.

In additon to the front activation switch, the laser grips also have a master on/off switch to prevent the laser being accidentally turned on.

Fits officers size 1911 pistols from Auto-Ordnance, Les Baer, Colt, KImber, Olympic Arms, Para-Ordance (some, not all, models), Springfield Armory, Sig Sauer, and other makers. Pistols with ambidextrous safeties will require a shortened right-side safety lever, which is available from Crimson Trace.

(Note: the terms "full size" or "Commander size" refer to 1911 pistols with a full-size grip frame with a magazine that holds seven or eight rounds. The term "Officers's model" refers to 1911 compact pistols or ultra-compacts that have a shorter grip frame, with magazines that hold six rounds.)

If you're not certain whether your pistol is a government size or officer's size, measure the two screws on either grip panel. If the screws measure 3 1/16" from center to center, your pistol uses government (full size) grips. If the distance between the centers of the two screws is 2 11/16", your pistol uses officer's size grips.
