The Crimson Trace LG-448 LaserGuard for the Springfield Armory XDM and XD models mounts to the trigger guard of the pistol, which puts the laser at the very front. The activaction switch is at the front of the grip, just below the trigger guard.

The LaserGuard is made of two halves. To install, you simply put one on each side of the pistol over the trigger guard, then screw them together with three supplied allen screws. Installation takes just a couple of minutes.

By having the Laser Guard fit around the trigger guard, the unit takes up minimal space, and is compatible with a wide variety of holsters that, for one reason or another, can't accept the other style laser grips for the XD models.

The LG-448 LaserGuard comes with a small allen wrench for adjusting windage and elevation. You can get the laser dot to point exactly to where your iron sights point, or to exactly where your ammunitition shoots, at any given range. The design of the adjusters keeps the adjustments intact even through hundreds or thousands of rounds of firing.

The LG 448 LaserGuard weighs just a couple of ounces, meaning that you won't notice it when carrying.

The LG448 Laser Guard fits the XDM and XD models. It does not fit the 5" Tactical or the 4" Service XD Generation 1 with the single rail notch.
