The HK USC .45 ACP Carbine is derived from HK's UMP rifle. The HK USC is chambered for the classic .45 ACP cartridge. The USC is a radical departure from traditional gun design. It uses a simple and reliable blowback operating system. Reinforced polymer is used on much of the carbine, giving it a light weight while not sacrificing durability.

The HK USC features a cold hammer-forged target barrel. It has a skeletonized buttstock for reduced weight, finished with a rubber check rest and recoil pad. The top and front of the receiver have mounting points for attaching a Picatinny rail for use with optical and lighting accessories.
