REMINGTON MODEL 11-87 SPS SUPER MAGNUM

It’s hard to believe that any 12-gauge autoloading shotgun could be as versatile as Remington's Model 11-87™ Super Magnum™. It's literally three shotguns in one--capable of handling a full range of 12 gauge payloads. The conditions may change, but your shotgun won't. You can go from shooting 3 1/2" magnum loads for geese in the morning to shooting 2 3/4" field loads for pheasants in the afternoon. In classic 11-87 form, it reliably cycles shells with unmatched smoothness.

The versatility of the Model 11-87™ Super Magnum™ results from the unique metering system of its gas-operated action. With 2 3/4" field loads, an integral pressure relief valve remains closed, utilizing all of the shell’s pressure to operate the action. When heavier or longer shells are used, the valve opens proportionately to release the extra, unneeded pressure — retaining the right amount to operate the action. This not only assures reliable handling of all shell lengths, but prevents excessive bolt velocity that could increase wear. This is the same system that hunters have been using for the past thirteen years on the 11-87™, and has proven to be the softest-shooting and most durable autoloading shotgun action ever designed.
