The Model 700™ VS SF builds on the same design features as Remington's standard Model 700™ Varmint Synthetic but with a stainless-steel action and free-floating 26" fluted barrel. The six longitudinal flutes substantially increase the heat-dissipating surface area of the barrel, to retain multiple-shot accuracy and extend barrel life. The composite synthetic stock of aramid fiber, fiberglass, and graphite is reinforced with a precision-machined one-piece aluminum frame that provides positive receiver bedding and shot-to-shot accuracy.
