"I own two CS-45's. One of which I have never fired nor holstered. It is an investment( safe Queen ). They are the blued model.I love this pistol & CCW with it.It carries very well with my Safariland IWB model 6D ATB holster.I have slipped it in my jeans pocket with out printing.I use a buck knife case to carry a 7 rd magazine that belongs to my model 4516-1. To Richard Sellers, I too found this gun difficult to field strip & had the factory correct it on both guns. Now it is easy a pie to strip."

"The CS45, Chiefs Special is beyond a doubt one of the most comfortable Sub Compact 45ACP to handle, It is a Traditional Double action pistol, Ist shot D/A then single action. The D/A pull on most of the Cs45's is 61/2lb to 8LB and single action a very crisp 5lb. It is exceptionally accurate normally holding sub 2" groups at 15 yards and capable of the same at 25 yards with factory ammunition. The reset is the highlight of all 3th Generation S&W auto's being right at 3/16" with no creep. What it lacks in capacity it makes up in conceal ability, being a little shorter than the 39 series 9mm's and about 1/8" wider. Because of Smith and Wessons ability to set the dwell time, the length of time the slide stays locked to let the pressure down before it opens, and muti- spring recoil system the recoil is equal to a full size 45ACP. If there is a negative it would be the length of the grip being a little short for those with large hands. This is simply cured by using the magazines with the extended floor plate. by far this is a dream carry firearm."
