The Smith and Wesson 22S target pistol is similar in most respects to the model 22A. LIke the 22A, it has adjustable rear sights with a partridge-style front sight blade, a serrated target trigger, an aluminum frame and stainless slide. The 22S has two-piece Soft Touch grips rather than wood, and a satin gray finish rather than black. The gray finish is accented with gold stampings for the Smith and Wesson logo, giving the pistol a distinctive look.

Like the 22A, the Smith and Wesson 22S is made for those who want to keep them all in the X-ring.

Smith and Wesson 22S Reviews:

"Great practice pistol. Also surprisingly good for varminting. I have had problems with light high velocity loads like CCI Stingers not always fully operating the action, but I normally use cheap standard loads like Federal or Winchester without any problems. If only it were a 17HMR."

"My 22S-1 is one heck of a fun and accurate SA pistol to plink with on a budget. Neighbors are now borrowing it for practice and their CCP training. It is a super training pistol."

"Have shot 22S on 3 or 4 occasions. It was an older one (1985-92 model) It has the gray laminated grips. A very well balanced and accurate pistol. Have been looking for one but have not been able to find one of that series. Highly recommend anyone looking for a very reasonably priced target pistol to think seriously about a 22S."
