SPRINGFIELD ARMORY STANDARD M1A RIFLE, MOSSY OAK STOCK
This is the standard M1A rifle, but with a synthetic rather than walnut stock. The Mossy Oak camouflage finish blends well in wood and field environments. The camouflage pattern is similar to, but slightly darker than, the camouflage pattern on the M14 rifles now used by US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The stock itself is extremely tough. The barrel and receiver are the M1A standard carbon steel, and have the military aperture sights. For hunting, defense, or just target shooting, this M1A is an excellent performer. Specifications Caliber: 7.62mm NATO (.308 Win.) The first time you pick up an M1A, you'll be struck by its weight. For those who are used to handling rifles with forged or stamped receivers, the M1A comes as almost a shock. It has a receiver that's investment cast steel. Tolerances between the receiver, bolt, activation rod, and other parts is tight, which is one reason for the M1A's superb accuracy. It's a rifle that will last for decades, and go tens of thousands of rounds without showing signs of wear. Click here to visit Gunshopfinder's Springfield Armory rifle page. I got this one used at a good price. I sure won't sell it. The stock is better for hunting here in Florida because it doesn't get swollen with the humidity here. I got a Leupold 3 by 9 I put on it that I just may paint to match the stock. What a great gun." Write Your Own Review Do you own a Mossy Oak M1A rifle, or have you shot one?
