SPRINGFIELD ARMORY LOADED M1A RIFLE, WALNUT STOCK, CARBON BARREL
The Springfield Armory Loaded M1A rifles give you almost all of the features found on the National Match models, but for a bit less money. The Loaded M1A has the national match air-gauged barrel. ("Air-gauged" means that the barrel has been measured using an air probe inserted in the barrel that detects differences in the diameter of the bore. A barrel that falls within a tighter tolerance range than standard barrels is referred to as "air gauged"). The Loaded M1A also has the national match trigger assembly, which is tuned to give a more predictable, crisp break at 4.5 pounds. The Loaded M1A models also have the national match front and rear sight, although the rear sight doesn't have a hood over the aperature as do the National Match models. The rear sight is adjustable with 1/2 MOA ("Minute OF Ange") clicks for windage, and 1 MOA clicks for elevation. The front sight has "ears" to protect the .062" sight blade from damage. Many competitive shooters think that the M1A National Match sights are the best of any service rifles on the market. The Loaded models also have the same flash suppressors as the National Match rifle. This model has a walnut stock and carbon steel barrel. Specifications Caliber: 7.62mm NATO (.308 Win.) Springfield Armory M6 Scout Rifle Reviews:Overall Rating: Primary Use: Competition "The Loaded M1A is my favorite gun, and I've got a lot of guns. I really wish they'd put the real national match sights on the rear instead of having sort-of national match sights. How much could that cost? That's my only complaint though. Its a fantastic rifle."
