SPRINGFIELD ARMORY TRP™ STAINLESS 1911 PISTOL

Springfield Armory TRP Stainless Steel Pistol product photo

The Springfield Armory TRP Stainless 1911 combines exceptional good looks with a number of performance-enhancing features. The satin finish stainless steel frame and slide are complemented by the G10 composite grips for an attractive package. The fact that the stainless slide and frame are forged means you'll have a durable gun, and the G10 grips are as tough as the frame and slide.

The barrel is match grade stainless, and has a match grade barrel bushing as well. A one piece guide rod aids in dependability.

The TRP models are meant for combat, and this model is equipped with three-dot combat sights. The three dots are tritium-illuminated, allowing you to get quick sight alignment even in darkness.

You'll be able to do fast reloads thanks to the wide bevelled magazine well, and you'll be able to slap the magazines home easily with the slam pads on the bottom of the two supplied magazines.

The TRP Stainless 1911 comes with an ambidextrous safety, both for left-handed shooters as well as for right-handers who need to shoot weak hand, for competition or in self defense.

The match grade trigger has a smooth pull weight of 4.5 to 5 pounds, which is excellent for combat as well as bullseye shooting.

The slide has front and rear serrations to make racking the slide easier. The checkered front strap gives you a solid grip on the pistol.

Taken together, these features make the TRP Stainless 1911 a great choice for competition, carry or just punching paper.

Every Springfield Armory 1911 pistol is equipped with a trigger locking device. A key inserted into a hole in the rear grip strap positively locks the trigger, making it impossible for a child to accidentally discharge the gun. This system gives you a choice as to whether or not you need to lock your gun. Unlike trigger locks on other brands of guns, the keyhole is small, so that it doesn't ruin the looks of the gun.
