SPRINGFIELD ARMORY CUSTOM LOADED TROPHY MATCH 1911 PISTOL

Springfield Armory Custom Loaded Trophy Match 1911 pistol product photo

The Loaded Trophy Match 1911 is the flagship 1911 pistol in the Springfield Armory line. It comes with every feature you could possibly need, and is made to the most exacting specifications.

The frame and slide are made from forged stainless steel. The rounded surfaces of the frame and slide are bead-blasted, while the flats are polished, giving the pistol a distinctive and classy look. The hardwood Cocobolo grips stand out nicely against the stainless frame.

The match grade barrel is made from stainless steel, and is supported at the front with a stainless match grade barrel bushing. The guide rod is two-piece, which is the original 1911 style.

The sights are fully adjustable target style. The front sight is dovetail mounted into the slide. The adjustable sights are made by Novak, and are considered to be some of the best on the market. The rear notch and front sight blade align with just enough "air" around the sight picture to let you know that your sight blade is centered. Once adjusted, they stay adjusted, even after thousands of rounds.

The trigger is match grade as well, and is slightly longer than on other models, putting the first pad of most shooters' trigger fingers right on the front face. The pull on the trigger is 4.5 to 5 pounds, perfect for target shooting. The trigger is adjustable for overtravel, too.

The slide has angled serrations on the front and rear, letting you grasp the slide with either hand quickly. The front strap is checkered for a solid grip.

An ambidextrous safety makes the pistol more easily used by left-handed shooters, or those who shoot with either hand.

The magazine well is wide at the bottom, and is bevelled to allow you to insert the magazine quickly without looking. The two supplied magazines have slam pads to aid in fast insertion.

What more could you ask for?

"I have owned a lot of 1911s in my life and always had to "build" them. This can built right out to the box and one hell of a great handgun! Straight shooter! "

"What an out of the box Master Piece! Nice looking and at the military range that I shoot at it is a "May I take a look at you 1911?" type of firearm. Have shot thousands of rounds through it. Have NEVER had a malfunction. I am not going to do anything to this 1911 to "make it better". There is no need to for me. Also, the "box" is the nicest most complete carry case I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Thanks for a well made 1911 that will be in my family for generations to come."

"I had the good fortune to shoot a 9mm version of this gun at the range Friday.

It was as well finished and shot as well as my Dan Wesson PM9.

I will have one as soon as I can find one. It really is THAT good."

"Best 1911 I ever owned. One holer at 25 yards out of the box. Try the rest...then put this springer thru the ringer. It does everything but putting a serious dent in your pocket!"

"I bought 2 with consecutive serial numbers. It took one a week later and less than 200 rounds qualified with some of the best groups I have ever shot. I love this pistol and I'm going to trade my kimber next chance I get. I am now a 'Springer'."
