SPRINGFIELD LOADED FULL SIZE MC OPERATOR 1911 PISTOL

Springfield Armory Loaded Full Size MC Operator 1911 pistol product photo

The Springfield Armory Loaded Full Size MC Operator 1911 pistol is designed from the ground up to be a serious combat pistol. The black slide and OD green frame have Springfield's Armory Kote finish for maximum durability. The Pachmyr wrap around rubber grips are checkered on both sides and on the front, giving you a slip-free hold no matter what the weather.

The pistol has a universal style accessory rail for mounting lights, lasers or other devices. (Please note that a Picatinny or 1913 rail is not the same as a universal rail, and will not accept devices made for universal rails. See photos).example photo of Springfield Armory universal rail

The sights on the MC Operator are low-profile combat sights, with three tritium dots for fast target pickup in bright daylight or on a dark street. The edges of the sights are smoothed for snag-free draws.

The barrel is match grade stainless, supported at the front with a match grade stainless barrel bushing. The pistol has a G.I. style guide rod.

The trigger on the MC Operator is match grade, too, with a pull weight of 4.5 to 5 pounds, example photo of Picatinny railwhich is just right for combat or target shooting.

An ambidextrous safety makes the gun easier to operate for lefties, or for those who need to shoot with either hand.

If you're looking for a serious combat pistol loaded with features, you just found it.

"I bought my "operator" because I fell in love with it after seeing one in a shop. It is by far the most accurate pistol I own. Because I am 6'3 and 230 I can get away with carrying it comfortably but it is still a big package. I think you should carry what you're proficient with. The quality, fit and finish is flawless, I imagine I will buy another one this year and give it to my Father. I trust my life to this weapon, it really is an incredibly accurate and dependable weapon, I don't leave home without it."

"I own several Springfields, including a TRP,a R/O, and am very comfortable carrying a full size 1911. This pistol is ideal for almost every situation that requires a weapon. Mine has over one thousand rounds through it and has not malfunctioned once. A genuine bargain for the price."

"The MC Operator is HEAVY. But that is to be expected of a full size 1911 with steel frame and rail. That said, it shoots like a dream. Groups great, recoils light, comparitively (because it is so heavy). Several hundred rounds from NIB, zero malfs. Overtravel screw set as far back as to allow reliable hammer fall/ minimize overtravel. It's a big heavy gun for carry, but amazing. I'm also 6'4, 220lbs, so big guns dont bother me as mich as others. Great bullseye, pins, SD gun. Just be comfortable carrying a 1911."

"This is my daily carry on duty for the last four years. Thousands of rounds and not a memorably malfunction. Eats up hollow point duty ammo to FMJ reloads. I replaced the pacmyer grips with VZ grips for better function and looks. I also added a drop in Ed Brown Maxi-Well extended magazine well. No gunsmithing needed. I rotate through ten separate 8 round Chip McCormick Power Mags. Zero issues. Don't pay more for Wilson Combat magazines. The two that I own consistently allow the slide to ride home after the last round due to the plastic followers. I didn't believe it till I purchased WC (want my $70 back WC). A Surefire X300 finishes off this package. No one has ever fired it and not fell in love. Great job Springfield! My next purchase will be the lightweight champion version for desk/suit duty.."

"I have fired many different pistols (1911/polymer) and when I fired off a group with this firearm, I had to have one. This is my baby, I can kill a fly at 10 yards (the accuracy is phenomenal, much better than my abilities) with it and it is also my ccw weapon. I trust my life with this gun, hence I have never had any reliability issues with it. I also would like to try competitive shooting, that is how much I enjoy this fine pistol. -JH Philadelphia."

"I have owned some great firearms over the years including Sigs, HK's, Glocks, Beretta's, colt's, S&W, Ruger and Walther. I always tend to avoid anything cheap I will bet my life on, but I never shot a better gun. Take John M. Brownings greatest design, add a teflon coating, pachmyr grips, night sights, skeletonized trigger and hammer. Basically all the best improvements of the last 100 yrs and nothing that is unnecessary. It broke my heart to sell it and like your first love, I have never recovered! It will be the best $1000 you have ever spent for personal protection."
