The Taurus model 851SS2ULT 851129ULT revolver is light as a feather. At just 15.5 ounces, it's one of the lightest .38 Special revolvers on the market. The Ultralite titanium frame is sturdy, yet so light you'll hardly notice it. The shrouded hammer keeps the gun from being accidentally cocked, but still allows you to cock the hammer for single action fire. The 851SS2ULT is chambered in .38 Special, and is capable of handling +P loads.

Like all Taurus 850 series revolvers, it features a transfer bar for safety, plus it has the Taurus Security System integral lock that allows you to lock the revolver with a key. When locked, the trigger cannot be pulled.
